How do I change my blog URL?

  I am trying to figure out how to change my blog url. Currently it’s my own personal firstnamelastname.wordpress.com and I’d like to change it to something that doesn’t have my name in it.

  I have checked and the URL I’d like appears to be available at $0. I just can’t figure out how to change it…

  Help!

  If you want to change the blog address ie. the URL, then you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that by using this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  That option will permanently disable the address and you will not be able to reuse it. Only select this option if you are sure you will not use the address again. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
