How do I change my domain name? I want to go from toosassy.wordpress to thecambreydiaries.wordpress

If you do not purchase a site redirect upgrade all the links will be broken, any authority and pagerank your original blog URL had will disappear and the traffic it had will not be redirected to the new URL. Moreover, as the original links will be broken in search engine results and everywhere they appear on the internet when they are clicked that will result in 404 (page not found) error message.

Changing your domain name is a fairly easy-
From your blog dashboard– hover over the first option “Dashboard” and select “My Blogs”
From there choose the blog you want changed (toosassy.wordpress.com), and select “Change Blog Address”
After reading through all the info- there are fields to fill out with your new WordPress domain address, hit save changes and you’re good to go.

P.S. Every day we experience bloggers on this forum who are changing URLs like they are changing socks. They do not comprehend the impact of what they are doing and that is why I typed the second paragraph in my comment above.
