I want to display my posts from oldest to newest. The generic instructions didn’t work. Please help. I’m using the Truly Minimal free theme on wordpress.com.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. It’s not possible on WordPress.com to have your posts display chronologically on your main feed.
You can create a custom link that will make your posts show in chronological order, and then add that link to your blog via a custom menu, but you can’t set that link as your home page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/show-your-posts-in-chronological-order/
See here for setting up a custom menu: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/Otherwise you can also use the Archives or Display Posts shortcodes to create a chronological index of your posts on a separate page.

Thanks so much!
How do I create a custom link?
I’ve tried adding a post and a page but the changes don’t save when I edit the link, the / and = are lost.

No, you don’t do this using a post or page. You edit the menu directly to add the link.
Go to Appearance ->Menus in the wp-admin dashboard. If you don’t yet have a custom menu, create one. Make sure it includes all the pages you want, in the order you want them (you can drag-and-drop to re-order and to create child pages) and make sure the menu is set as your primary menu (see http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/)
Then also add a link to the menu. If you don’t see the links option, click on Screen Options at the top of the page and make sure that Links is selected. When you add the link, it will ask for a title and a URL. In the title field, write whatever you want the menu to display, e.g. “Posts in chronological order”. In the URL field, paste this link: https://sustainabledevelopmentjournal.wordpress.com/?order=asc
Save the menu.
