How do I change my post permalinks?

  I want to change the format of my permalinks from /yyyy/mm/dd/post-name/ to simply /post-name/. I have seen on online forums that I am supposed to go to Settings –> Permalinks, but I do not see a Permalinks section in any Settings category. How can I go about this?

  Hi there,

  Please note that isn’t possible on WordPress.com. Changing permalinks is an option only available on self-hosted WordPress sites.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
