how do I change my URL to a new one?.

    when I log in using reddoneverything.wordpress.com I get a message saying this address does not exist but is listed as the one to use to get to my blog. I want to get rid of this url. How do I change this url. I already have purchased a domain name change update. I need to be able to get in my site and send people to it and have not been able to use my blog URL at all since I purchased it

    There are two steps to setting up a domain you purchased elsewhere. First, add it to your site under Store > My Domains, which is done for sharonerecords.com.

    Step two is to log in at the website where you bought the domain, and change a setting there to “point” your domain to your WordPress.com site. There are instructions for doing this here:

    In short, you’ll need to change the Name Servers from

    ns1.whois.com
    ns2.whois.com

    to

    ns1.WordPress.com
    ns2.WordPress.com
