how do I change my website name?

    I need to change my website name from Jenniferclaudioyoga.com to essentialyogaschool.com. How do I change on wordpress.com I am not leaving wordpress I purchased the name on go daddy.

    Hi there!

    Great! First, you’ll need to purchase a Domain Mapping upgrade for your new domain. You can do this through your dashboard at Store > My Domains. Select Map an Already Existing Domain.

    Then, in order for the domain to direct to your blog jenniferclaudioyoga.wordpress.com, you’ll need to change your name servers to the following:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    If you’re not sure how, you’ll need to contact your registrar for assistance.

    Hi Shawna,
    I don’t know where exactly where the name servers are located to enter the changes and I don’t know where the Registrar is either. I purchased the mapping option and changed the domain name but I still haven’t been able to complete the process.

    No worries! Sorry for being unclear. Your registrar is GoDaddy. They’re the service you registered your domain through. In order to change your name servers you’ll need to log into your account with them. Here’s a guide on changing your name servers on GoDaddy:

    You’ll need the first option “Setting Nameservers for a Domain Name Registered with Us”

    If you have any trouble doing that, you’ll need to contact GoDaddy for help.
