How do I change my website URL?

  I have been having some trouble with my blogs under the http://biellen.wordpress.com group. The blogs themselves are just fine, but when I comment the link back has been malfunctioning. Now if you click on one of my comments, you are told that “The authors have deleted this blog. The content is no longer available.” Which is wrong, since all four are still up and running.
  I brought this to the attention of the support person who told me that I should change my website URL in my profile. Sorry if this seems stupid, but can I just change the URL? To anything I want?

  An existing URL cannot be changed, but you can sign up for a new blog with another name.

  As far as your current blogs, in your admin go to users > your profile and check your URL in the website field and make sure it is correct. If it is not, correct it and then click “update profile” and see if that makes a difference.

  Staff will need to figure out why you’re getting the deleted message for that blog and fix it. In the meantime, I think what they meant to suggest is that you change the blog your name links to, so it goes to something that’s still up. You can do that by changing “Primary Blog” or “Website” on your Profile page.

  That’s what I thought, but the guy at Support wrote “You need to change the website url in your profile at the dashboard of any blog.” So, I must be totally misunderstanding what he meant or there is something that can be done. I don’t like being non-existant.

  And it is still the same delete message.

  I see it listed as exactly the same, so it’s still giving that message. If you change it to another of your blogs, that one should show up instead.

  If you have used this process to change the primary blog linked to your wordpress.com username without success
  Dashboard -> Users -> Your Profile
  look down the right hand column and locate “Website”
  remove the existing url and replace it with the url for one of your other blogs
  then click “Update Profile”

  then, IMHO, you need staff assistance. So if that’s the case then please use the “support” button on the top right hand corner of any admin side blog page to reach staff. Support hours are Monday-Friday 8-4PM, Pacific time.
