How do I change Mystique layout for posts compared to other pages?

I am using the The Mystique Theme. I want to have several widgets on a sidebar for my homepage. However, I want none of these things to appear on actual post pages – i.e., when the viewer clicks the post’s title or the “Read the rest of this Entry” button, I want the page’s full width dedicated to the post.

I tried doing this by setting the Visibility of each Widget to Hide if the Page is a Post. This makes the homepage look correct, but the Post pages now have a search bar and a category list; i.e., it falls back to a default rather than removing the sidebar.

I also noticed that I can set my Default Layout in the Theme Options, and set the layout per user-created Page (i.e., on an About page, I can select the no-sidebar option), but there doesn’t appear to be a way to change this setting for generated pages, like the homepage.

In short, is there a way to have my various widgets appear ONLY on the homepage?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Widgets have “visibility” settings so we can select which pages they display on. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibility

This is the link to your detailed theme description page.

I have tried adjusting the visibility settings, such that no widgets appear on post pages. However, instead of removing the sidebar, it instead produced a sidebar with two predefined widgets. Is there a way to exclude the sidebar entirely on posts, but also have a sidebar on the homepage?

Just to clarify what I’m looking to do:

    1. My Homepage looks as I wish it to – I made sure to include it in the visibility of these widgets.
    2. My About page looks as I wish it to – I selected a no-sidebar layout when publishing the Page (this option is not available for Posts, only for Pages).
    3. This post page has no widgets included in its visibility, so the theme’s two default widgets are used instead.

I wish to make pages like #3 look like #2.

I believe that the sidebar option on the Post page is part of the theme.

According to a previous question in these forums, it looks like you can remove it if you purchase the Custom Design Upgrade for $30/year.
