How do I change name/dns server in my wordpress blog?

You’re welcome. The SIMPLEST way is just to create a blog here, make a static page, and set that as your front page, which you do under Settings->General. Easy. And you already have a WordPress.com ID, so you just need to get a blog.
I love those Common Craft videos. I use them in virtually every course I teach, because nobody explains things better.

I notice the issue about finding the domain administration page when trying to remap a domain. when clicking on domains under settings at the right I get the names of my domains only. How do I get to the page to manage my domains (getting a pw and a link to the name servers etc ?

HI I am having one domain name and i want to give it my wordpress blog)which is n wordpress.com).I went to domain in settings and entered my already owned domain name but it is saying me you can register your domain name and asking me for some money per year.I am already having domain name then still i will need to pay for just giving name to that blog.

You were on the right track. If you own a domain, then you own that name, nothing else. If you want to map that domain that you own to a certain blog, then you need to pay for it. That’s how it works. having blogname.wordpress.com is free, but making blogname.wordpress.com into domain.com costs money.http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

Hello everybody,
I read all the above and understand most of them, but since this is the first time I try to create my own website, I’m a little bit confused with all the steeps I should take.
So I will explain in short my situation then please anyone here tell me what to do:
I registered a free blog to wordpress.com. As you may know, there I can’t use my custom themes etc, I mean I can’t have full control.
Now I want to use a free host (000webhost.com) as my webhost.
I mean I want to use a free domain (.wordpress.com) with a free host(000webhost.com) so I think I should change the DNS server of my existing domain in wordpress.
Now is possible to do that? I want to use the .wordpress domain hosted at 000webhost servers. Can I change my DNS server, and if yes, how can I do that?
Please explain in simple steeps if it is possible or not? Should I upload wordpress files to 000webhost before?
Note that I created the database, to my host, changed wp-config.php according my database and uploaded wordpress files via FTP from my desktop in 000webhost server root. But since my existing wordpress acound is registered to wordpress servers, I cannot access the files uploaded to my host.
I appolgise for my ignorance but this is my first time I configure those things myself and I want to learn and to be more famigliar with all those things.

That is not possible. A wordpress.COM blog can only be hosted on wordpress.COM. You map a domain to it, but it will still be hosted with wordpress.COM:

Hi Husdal, thanks so much for the fast reply.
I was confused about the diferences betwen wordpress COM and ORG.
Now I’m clear about that I think :) And since Iyou said that the host in wordpress.COM cannot be changed, I decided to use the domain that 000webhost provides for free and to use it with the free host. I uploaded via FTP and installed wordpress with filezilla.
