How do I change only 1 page header without changing another? Adventure Theme

how do you change page headers?
trying to have just one header on main page and none on all the others .
I tried doing this ..with the Featured Image feature box is on the right hand side. but it wont allow me to choose none.and also want to make the main page header smaller it is so large would love to crop the size down is that possible?
