How do I change the date of a post?

3 external sites said to simply “1. Log into your WordPress account and go to your dashboard, 2. Click on ‘Manage’ and select ‘Posts’ as an option, 3. Click ‘Post Timestamp’ in the sidebar, 4. Select ‘Edit Timestamp.’,” etc.
I don’t even see a “manage” function under dashboard, nor posts, nor a “post timestamp” under posts directly, and no help items on how to manage posts or change post dates are in the search.

No worries! You can do this two different (but similar) ways:

    1. Go to Posts > All Posts and find the post you want in the list. Click the ‘Quick edit’ link that shows up when you hover your mouse under the name of the post. This will show you the published date and allow you to change it. Save your changes by clicking Update.

    2. Go to Posts > All Posts, then click the title of the post you want. This will take you to that post’s edit page. The date shows up in the top right column, it says “Published on…” Click the ‘Edit’ link underneath it. Save your changes by clicking OK, then Update.
