Hi there!
Your WordPress.com domain is leiahjaffe.wordpress.com. Is that the name you’d like to change? If so, here are the instructions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
If you were hoping to adjust your custom domain name, leiahjaffe.com, you can register a new domain name on your store page:
https://leiahjaffe.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php
You can Add a Domain to create a new domain name.
Custom domain names cannot be edited once they’re “live.” But, you can always change the name of your site by creating a new one.
You will not lose any of your content if you change your WordPress.com site name OR your custom domain name. That remains safe and protected.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers!

Hello,
I was hoping to adjust my domain name (leiahjaffe.com), and change it to be israelbyleiah.com. I bought the new domain name, but now it doesn’t load when I click on it.
In addition, I would like to move all the content from my old domain (leiahjaffe.com) to my new domain (israelbyleiah.com). How do I do that?
Thanks,
Leiah -
Hi there Leiah!
No problem at all. Now that you purchased israelbyleiah.com, you can make it the primary domain for leiahjaffe.wordpress.com. To do that, click here:
https://leiahjaffe.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
Select israelbyleiah.com in the list. Click Update Primary Domain.
It could take several hours for the changes to appear online, but that should do the trick!
You don’t have to do any transfer of content at all. You content will always be accessible here:
http://leiahjaffe.wordpress.com/wp-admin
If you have any questions at all about the difference between leiahjaffe.wordpress.com and israelbyleiah.com, and how they work together:
I hope this helps! Take care.

Hello,
I just got a notification by WordPress saying that my leiahjaffe.com domain is about to expire. In the note below it says that my new domain israelbyleiah.com is also going to be deactivated. I thought that when I bought the new domain all my content from my old domain moved to the new domain, so that when the old domain was deactivated I could continue to use my new one with all the same content. Can you please explain to me how this works? I don’t want to be paying for two domains when I only need one.
Thanks,
Leiah JaffeP.S. I have a printscreen of the notification, if necessary.

Hi there!
I just got a notification by WordPress saying that my leiahjaffe.com domain is about to expire. In the note below it says that my new domain israelbyleiah.com is also going to be deactivated.
That shouldn’t be the case. If your domain (leiahjaffe.com) expires, it may impact your ability to view israelbyleiah.com, but it won’t deactivate it. If you know that you no longer need the domain leiahjaffe.com, I’m happy to simply cancel it for you, and your site can be known as israelbyleiah.com from now on.
Please know that domain cancellation is not something I can reverse, so please be certain you no longer want leiahjaffe.com before confirming that I should detach it from your site.
If you’d like me to read the screenshot, please upload it to your Media Library and I can access it from there, once you let me know there’s something I should look at.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Hello,
I’m kind of confused about where all the content of my site is stored. Is it connected to a domain name? Is it saved independently on WordPress? If I deactivate my old domain (leiahjaffe.com) what will be lost? When the old domain is deactivated how will this impact my ability to view my new domain (israelbyleiah.com)?
I added the printscreen of the notification to my media library. I would appreciate it if you could take a look at it and see that I’m understanding the situation correctly.
At the end of this process what I would like is to have all my content saved and viewed on my new domain name (israelbyleiah.com). I don’t need to have two domain names as long as all my content is saved.
Thanks,

Hi again!
I’m kind of confused about where all the content of my site is stored. Is it connected to a domain name? Is it saved independently on WordPress?
Your content is saved in your WordPress.com site: http://leiahjaffe.wordpress.com/.
If I deactivate my old domain (leiahjaffe.com) what will be lost? When the old domain is deactivated how will this impact my ability to view my new domain (israelbyleiah.com)?
Nothing will be lost, except the domain name. A domain name, is an address. It doesn’t contain content. Your website (http://leiahjaffe.wordpress.com/) contains the content.
I added the printscreen of the notification to my media library. I would appreciate it if you could take a look at it and see that I’m understanding the situation correctly.
I took a look at the screenshot. It is only leiahjaffe.com that is expiring. It doesn’t say that israelbyleiah.com will be adversely impacted. In fact, it’s saying that your site’s traffic will be redirected to israelbyleiah.com.
If you’d like, I can cancel leiahjaffe.com right now, and make sure your site is represented by israelbyleiah.com. I do need your permission to do this, as it’s permanent. You need to be certain you no longer want ownership of the domain name, leiahjaffe.com.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Hello,
If I understand correctly, when I cancel the old domain name, the rest of my content (which is now connected to israelbyleiah.com and saved on leiahjaffe.wordpress.com) won’t be affected, and I won’t lose anything but the old domain name. If this is the case you can go ahead and cancel my old domain name leiahjaffe.com.
I would like to thank you for all your help. Your answers were very clear and helpful, and you were very quick to respond to any of my questions.
Thanks,

Hey there Leiah,

You are exactly right. You won’t lose any content at all. Just the name leiahjaffe.com will be canceled.
If this is the case you can go ahead and cancel my old domain name leiahjaffe.com.
I took care of this for you. Leiahjaffe.com is canceled and israelbyleiah.com is now the primary domain name for your site, leiahjaffe.wordpress.com.
All your content can still be found and managed here:
http://leiahjaffe.wordpress.com/I would like to thank you for all your help. Your answers were very clear and helpful, and you were very quick to respond to any of my questions.
You’re very welcome. I am happy to help! Cheers!
