    I have 2 x blogs in the same WP.Com a/c: tommyroberts.wordpress.com & suncitymedia.wordpress.com. Each blog has a personal domain (1) http://www.tommyroberts.org (2) http://www.suncitymedia.com.

tommyroberts.wordpress.com is the primary blog with the email address being (email visible only to moderators and staff) – My problem is messages sent from the http://www.suncitymedia.com website’s Contact Form are sent to the (email visible only to moderators and staff) email. I want them sent to a Sun City Media email address, info@suncitymedia

    Please help?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there – you can change the email address that particular form sends to. When you add a form, select the “Email Notifications” tab for the option to change it:

    Okay, simple. Thanks!

I’ve just been to my email a/c’s and even though I’ve done what you say (twice for good measure) the message is still being sent to the email address of the primary blog and not to the suncitymedia email address which I have entered in the Email Notifications field.

  • Hi Tommy – Hmm, I don’t see the email address in the shortcode of the contact form. You’ll have to delete the entire form and re-add it to do this. Once you’ve done it, you should see this shortcode at the very beginning of your form:

    [contact-form to='your email here']

You can also just go ahead and add that shortcode manually.

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve deleted form, updated, entered email address in ‘Email Notifications’, saved and returned to form, saved form etc,. every time I’ve done this. Each time I’ve done this the form is always entered “without” the new email address. I’ve also tried entering a description in the ‘what should the subject line be?’ field of the ‘Email Notifications’ tab to see if that is saved. Yes, this field is saved into the form but the email address field is still not saved into the form. I’ve also entered the short code manually into the beginning form. When I “Update” the form the short code remains in the editor okay but the form doesn’t display on the page (View Page). Seems this is a WP glitch? If you have access, please check it out for yourself.

  • Hi Tommy – There was a bit of an issue with the way you had the shortcode (the subject part needed to be in the same shortcode as the email address). Can you test the form now and see if it goes to the right email address:

    Contact

Works now. Thanks for your assistance!
