How do I change the email address of an inactive profile?
-
I am trying to delete a WP blog but the person who created it no longer works with us and she used her work email address that no longer exists. I clicked on delete site however WP sends a link to the email address that no longer exists to confirm the deletion.
Is there a way I can change her inactive email address to mine so I have access to the deletion confirmation link? Please help, really stuck in a conundrum here.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. If you are able to log into the account, then you should be able to change the email from the account settings page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/
Keep in mind you won’t be able to change the email to one that is already associated with a WordPress.com account, so you might have to create a new free email for this purpose if you already use your email address for your own WordPress.com account.

Hi Kokkieh,
Thank you for your reply. I was added as user of the site before she left. I can’t log in with her old account. But her profile shows up under the list of users and I can’t remove it. When I try, I get this error message: ID #36610444: You don’t have permission to remove this user.

You won’t be able to remove the user who created the site. If you still have contact with her, ask her to log in and transfer ownership of the site to you. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-wordpress-com-user-or-account
If that’s not possible you can try the Account Recovery form. Provide as much information on that form as you can and then wait for staff to contact you via email. http://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form
