How do I change the email in the contact form?

Hello, I have a contact form saved as a draft. It is inserting the email I used to make the blog. But I have another email I want to use in that spot. How to make it so?

There will be autofilled information in a contact form or a comment box but your information is visible to you when you are logged in and have not cleared your browser cache and cookies. No one else can see it.
When someone makes a comment on your blog, unless they have cleared their cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them. No one else will be able to view those details in comment boxes or in contact forms. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each others details.
There is an Admin link on posts and pages that only you as Admin and any editors you have can see when you are logged in. It’s for your convenience and your visitors cannot see it. You cannot remove it as it’s coded into the theme templates and we cannot edit templates or themes.
But I have another email I want to use in that spot. How to make it so?

The other thread will be dealt with when a Volunteer has the time to respond to it. All support docs are here http://support.wordpress.com These are our support options http://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/
This is a peer support forum where Staff and Volunteers work together cooperatively to provide WordPress.com support. Volunteers answer the majority of all support questions and when we cannot provide support we tag threads for Staff assistance.

I really do appreciate all your help but you are not answering the questions with links which are helpful.
Let me restate my question.
I am creating the “Contact” page for my blog. Do you understand?
That Contact page has a “Contact Form” which people can use to contact ME.
The email is incorrect. If they use that form it will go to the wrong email, understand? How do I change the email so that when they fill out the form it goes to the correct email?
Your Support docs are NOT intuitive, hence the plethora of questions you get in this forum. Please do not misread me, I am not angry at you, I am just frustrated and thinking maybe WordPress is not for me. I was going to go premium but seriously I cannot defend doing that right now with this non-intuitive rinky dink interface.
-
I clearly understand you and I hear your frustration. As I predate all but one staff member even being on support staff here I have spent over 8 years answering questions and listening to feedback from frustrated people.
The contact form support doc is here http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
Do you see an option revealed there in the support doc to use an email address that is not your unique identifier? because I don’t.
The email address you used when registering your WordPress.com account is listed on your Account Settings page, and under Users → Personal Settings in your dashboard. Notifications from WordPress.com will be sent to that email address.
Any legitimate feedback will then be emailed to you, and added to your feedback management area.
I will tag this thread for Staff. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.
Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.
How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.
Please don’t bump your thread by posting into it again because it’s not in your best interest to post to it after it has been tagged for Staff help. Doing that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response.

Hi there,
By default, contact forms will be emailed to the email address listed in your account settings. If you’d like to change the email address that a contact form is sent to, you can do that by editing the contact form.
In the contact form screen, you can click on the “Email notifications” tab and enter the email address where you want the contact form sent.
When you’re done, you can click the button to save your changes to the contact form. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

When I edit my saved draft of my Contact Page what I did was just take out the old contact form because I could not figure out how to edit the form when it is embedded in the field in which we type. Then I added a new contact form and I went to the “Email notifications tab” and I entered in the email address where I want the contact form sent. However, when I preview I see the correct address in the type that I typed in and the WRONG address in the form.
Here is the preview:

Hi there,
When you view the page itself, it will pre-fill the contact form with your own account information — so the email address you see there is the email listed in your
account settings. Other WordPress.com users will see the form pre-filled with their own information. However, that won’t change where the form is sent. The form will always be sent to the email address you specify in the Email Notifications tab. (The email you see when you view the form is the information you’ll get from the person submitting the form, along with the other information in the form.)
If the email address you see when you preview the form is the wrong email address for you entirely, you can update that in your account settings to make sure the correct email address is linked to your account.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about that!

Ok sure, I understand that. The form is populated with whoever’s email is filling out the form. OK great. I appreciate your epic patience. You can mark this resolved and again I appreciate the help immensely.
