how do I change the email that followers receive?

  My email followers currently receive the whole post in the email. I want to change that, so that they will be directed to come to the site. Also, I want to change the text in the email.

  Hi Martin,

  I can see that you have already found where you can set your blog to only send out brief summaries (the first few lines) of your articles under Settings >> Reading.

  You can manually specify what is sent for each post however by writing an excerpt for that post in the post page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/

  When the post email is sent out, the text which goes to your reader will only be what you type in your excerpt.
