How do I change the header color?
-
Where have the options gone? I know for a FACT I didn’t have to pay monthly in the past just to select a color for my header’s text, but now the old admin panel is redirecting to the new… system and it has, well it has no options.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The theme I wanted to use is Quintus. The blog is linked in the OP clearly. If you don’t specify a color for the header text, it defaults to wrapping that text in a black box. I am trying to recreate an old blog I used to have. The option to set the color for the headers seems to have been removed outright.

Notice: if you add a header image but don’t explicitly set a header text color in Appearance → Header, then Quintus wraps the title and description with a black textured background. To remove said black background you need to explicitly set a color. (Tip: if you still want a white blog title you could enter a #fefefe color value.)
HOW exactly do you do that?

Hmm… I’ve been all over the settings page for that theme in my demo site and I can not find where to make that edit either.
I’m going to flag this post for one of the moderators to take a look at. Perhaps something with the theme documentation needs to be updated?

Yeah I think it used to be on the admin panel, but it now redirects to the “customizer” and either the ball was dropped or somebody wanted to encourage customization sales.
I was getting pretty annoyed (sorry) but you know what, I’m over it. It seems nuts that in 2016 changing a font color isn’t “basic customization,” but you know what else nobody cares about that little box. I’m just gonna start aggregating content and anybody I send to the blog is gonna be checking that out anyway.
