How do I change the header width?

    Ok, I’m new to CSS, so sorry if this is an obvious question!

    I have an image uploaded for my header. I can see what the size is when I view the content via ‘inspect element’- I want to make it bigger.

    I can amend the size in ‘inspect element’ view to see what it would look like larger. But when I try to write the CSS code to make it the required size and save it- it will not remain this larger size. I’m obviously getting the CSS code totally wrong, but I don’t know what to do!

    I’m using Illustratr theme. I want to amend the header image to be 900px x 360px. My blog address is http://www.bentley-design.co.uk
