How do I change the link colour on the Skeptical theme for free ?

  I am useing the skeptical theme on my blog when I upload a background image like light blue the sidebar link colour wont show up as much so is there away to change the link colour without paying for it ?

  I do not want to use the white background i really want to use blue but the link colour on the background wont show up as much
