How do I change the look of my site?

  • Unknown's avatar

I’ve been surfing around and have seen some pretty nice pages. How do I make mine unique? I just started blogging on here today and am for now using a generic one. No more questions today, I promise. Thanks in advance.

If you have CSS editing skills, you can buy the CSS upgrade, but if you don’t you should know that it’s not supported although there are online tutorials:

    About the Custom CSS Upgrade

Sometimes the sidebar content makes a blog look different, along with a custom image header. Without a link to your blog I can’t see if your theme has an image header. You can link the url to your user name in your profile at the top of this page.

If you do a forum search, you’ll find a lot of answers.

The short form is: you can choose from any of the themes on the Presentation page on your dashboard. If you know how to use CSS already and have fifteen bucks burning a hole in your pocket, you can buy the CSS upgrade and customize the look of your blog.

Also: if you do not already know how to use CSS, do not even think of buying the upgrade. We see so many “I’m a total beginner and bought the upgrade, now how do I do this?” requests for help, and virtually nobody here has the time/knowledge to hand-hold on this issue. Do the tutorials first and don’t buy the upgrade until you’re quite fluent.

Thanks. I guess I’ll stick with what I have here and be artsy on myspace.

  • Just FYI, anyone can preview CSS changes without buying the upgrade. We highly recommend trying this if you’re considering upgrading. See the “try before you buy” question here:
