How do I change the looks of a hyperlink?
-
I’m using Fortune. Fortune adds an underline the the link. I’d like to remove this.
So I tried
a { text-decoration: none; }but with and without !important it doesn’t work.
Actually, I’m mostly interested in doing this on the home page, so I tried also to add
style="text-decoration:none"
to my links, but that did not help either. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress adds this, but I’m not looking for help on masteringarchimate.com but my new (not yet public) rnaea.wordpress.com

re: rnaea.wordpress.com
Have you purchased either a Premium or Business plan http://wordpress.com/plans for that site that provides the ability to edit CSS on that site?

https://masteringarchimate.com/ is wearing the Twenty Ten theme https://wordpress.com/theme/twentyten
All CSS editing is theme specfic editing.
What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site wearing the Fortune theme https://wordpress.com/theme/fortune

As I said at the the start. WordPress apparently adds a ‘primary’ site to my initial question even if it’s not about that site.

Thanks for the URL. Please be patient while waiting for Staff help with your CSS. It’s a weekend so it may take a little longer to get it. Hi @gctwnl!
Forefront adds a border to the bottom of those links (rather than using text-decoration to underline them) and you can use the following Custom CSS to override that effect:
.hentry .entry-content a:not(.primary-button) { border-bottom: none; }Hope that’s helpful!

Hi @siobhyb,
That works (first time some CSS worked). However, this changes it across the entire site and I’d like to change it only on the front page text (maybe even only those two links).
But with I could change just those two links.

The following custom CSS would only target links that on your home page:
.home .hentry .entry-content a:not(.primary-button) { border-bottom: none; }I’d encourage you to use custom CSS over inline styles as custom CSS is more manageable in the long term. If you ever wish to change the styles of your home page links in the future, it’s much easier to do if you have all of your CSS in one place.
