How do I change the order of entries in my blog?

    Hello,
I only found an old entry from 2007 in this forum, so I dare to ask again:
I work with the theme Twenty Fourteen since a few days, it is my first ever blog. It’s about plants and them growing, so it would make sense that the oldest entry of a category would appear first (together with the featured photograph) and while the seedling slowly gow, the new entries follow beneath.
Only found the possibility to simple add to the first message (and the first date of entry) but it will end up in a neverending story – not nice!
Does anyone have an idea how to do it? Or would that be a specific theme?
Apologies for my bad english and thank you !

The default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General Select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu you see there and then click “save changes”.

Please also make sure you have not unintentionally made any post a “sticky post”. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts

Blogs are essentially a reverse chronological order publishing tool wherein the most recent published post will display on top. You cannot change this order on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. It’s designed to serve your visitors as they come to read the most recent posts and will not be inclined to trawl through hundreds of posts to locate it.

See here for the option of creating a book-like structure > http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ Perhaps that will work for you.

Or you could use a single sticky post as an index page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts

Or you can falsify every date-stamp on every post before publishing.

    Thank you.
I do already falsify the entry date in an attempt to skip the chronology but it will only work if there is no real entry on that date.
It’s a pity that there is no option for reversing the chronology; it wouldn’t be ‘hundreds of posts to trawl through’ for every thread has its own category.
I’ll have a look a the book-like structure. Thank you for the link.

But I don’t understand what the time zone has do to with it?
    Thanks and adios
