How Do I Change The Order Of The Menus?

  • Unknown's avatar

I have my page about where I want it for the moment, but I would like to find a way to move my custom menu, “Progress Reports” nearer to the top.

Right now on the right side of my screen, I have a bar with the following

    Search
    Recent Comments
    Archives
    Categories
    Meta
Progress Reports (this is the custom menu I want to move further up the list!!)

Is there a way I can do this?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi diabetesgal,

You bet! Head over to https://wordpress.com/customize/ and then go to Widgets > Widget Area. Once there, you should see the widgets in the order they appear on your site. All you need to do now is move your mouse over the Progress Reports widget, then click and drag that widget to your preferred position. When you are satisfied with the result in the preview, press the Save & Publish button.

I don’t see a Widget Area. When I click on Widgets, all I see is Sidebar and Footer.
But when I click on THOSE, there are buttons for “Reorder” and “+ Add A Widget”

This is what I was looking for, thanks for the help! Just wanted to clear up what I was seeing and what I actually did, so that this topic may prove useful to others!

There are a couple of ways to get to where you ended up. I’m glad you were able to reorder your widgets.

Me, too…and thanks for your help! I didn’t even have the first CLUE as to where to look!
