how do I change the Page Template of the Theme that I have chosen
-
I am using the Baskerville Theme. Currently my blog looks like a left side bar, I want the appearance to be like it is when you see the Demo of the Baskerville Theme (under Readability Tab).
1)How do I change the appearance of my first page to the one mentioned above. How can the page template be changed?
2)Can I reduce the height of the image that I have as the header Image. The image is so big that the menu is pushed down. I tried to change the image, but it did not help.
3)Is there a likelihood of changing the color of the font of my Tag line (to greater heights….)Kindly advise.

Hi,
1)How do I change the appearance of my first page to the one mentioned above. How can the page template be changed?
a. In the Baskerville demo,”Readability” is a static page. That’s why it has a sidebar widget area, whereas your front page will not have a sidebar widget area because that space to the right of your post is reserved for additional posts. Add more posts to fill up the presently blank area on your front page.
b. You can change the template of a page in the Page Attributes module of the corresponding page editor.
2)Can I reduce the height of the image that I have as the header Image. The image is so big that the menu is pushed down. I tried to change the image, but it did not help.
The header image displays at the same size regardless of the size of the file image used. The factors that modify its size include the following:
a. The total number and length of the items in the header menu. The number of rows in the header menu may vary depending upon these factors, plus the following factor.
b. The size of the screen used to view the site.
c. The use of a site logo, which increases the displayed height of the header. The presence of the site logo on your site is responsible for the height being considerably larger than that of the header on the Baskerville demo.
3)Is there a likelihood of changing the color of the font of my Tag line (to greater heights….)
I believe you’ll be able to do that with CSS customization, but I can’t help you in that area which is out of my realm.

I forgot to mention that you might be able to use CSS customization to modify the height of the header, but again that’s out of my realm.
