How do I change the settings of my RSS feed to resize my images?

I use Bloglovin’ for readers to view my blog posts but the images I am uploading are appearing to be really fuzzy and pixelated on their news feed. I emailed them asking why this was happening and they said ‘you will have to change the settings in your RSS feed as the images are so smaller, Bloglovin has to make them larger’ but I save the images as 1280×853 which should be plenty big enough. What can I do to solve the issue?

  • Hi there,

There is no direct way to change your RSS settings to include a full size image. What is in your feed is the size of the image that you have in the post, which are 560px wide when you chose the “Large” image size.

What you can try is to use the full size image (instead of the “Large” size) when adding images to your posts. Even though you are picking an image that is larger than the theme can display, it will adjust to fit. This may provide a large enough image on your RSS feed, however.

Also, I do not know about their support of Featured Images but you may want to experiment with adding a large featured image (but smaller images in posts) and see if they make use of that image instead.

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
