How do I change the site address I just registered?
-
I accidentally registered my new site and it belongs to someone else. When I’ve done searches, it’s never come up, and I didn’t see your “go daddy” search tip until after I upgraded. I’d like to change my site to a “.NET” – is this possible? Also, I want the site to be private, I realize there is an extra charge for that.
Thank you for your help, it is greatly appreciated!

Hi there,
Currently, you purchased a domain mapping, which is not registering a domain. Domain mapping is for domains that are registered elsewhere (not at WordPress.com) and used to point a domain to your WordPress.com site. I have removed the domain mapping from your account.
Since you have WordPress.com Premium you can register a domain through us by going to Store > Domains in your Dashboard. This is included in the bundle so it will not be an extra charge. You can find more information about adding a domain here. Please note that you won’t be able to register a domain that is already registered by someone else.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
