On your dashboard go to your general settings and change your blogname tagline to what you want.

The only way the upper case lettering on that theme in the blog title which is coded into the template can be changed is by purchasing an annually renewable CSS upgrade. If you have CSS editing experience, you can get the paid custom CSS upgrade and renew it annually. It will allow you to stylize the appearance of themes you find here > Appearance > Themes, but it does not allow you to change the functionality, by editing the underlying template. Also note that CSS is theme specific, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM.
Since there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support, I recommend that you don’t buy the upgrade unless you have at least moderate understanding of HTML and CSS because you must be prepared to do the work on your own.
If you are considering purchasing the upgrade, you can go to Appearance > Edit CSS. There wordpress has provided a preview function where you can try before you buy.

@Bats
This is a weird one. I checked it out Digg3 in my test blog. It’s coded to display all capital lettering in the Blog title. -
WOW learn something new everyday :) I had no clue that the theme only showed that in capital letters without the upgrade. Thanks TT for the info.

@Bats
Note that the search engines do not “see” upper case lettering. To them it’s all lower case so this is a aesthetics issue only.What I do is put the theme in question up on my test blog, check and then answer. In my test blog I also have copy and paste answers for the most common questions, so I can deliver answers quickly.

Thanks very much you guys. That would explain why I couldn’t change it–I had it lower case in my settings.
Now if only I could figure out why the tagline doesn’t show in this Theme, lol
Much appreciated.
Cheers

I knew that about the search engines and I also know some have the need just for their own satisfaction to see it the way they want it instead of how search engines do. My FIL really dislikes the fact that a lot of times I forget and just write all in lower case, oh man does that annoy him.
I love the suggestion TT, thank you so much. :) -
As for the tagline, some themes display it, some don’t – see here:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/02/tagline/If you want a tagline in your header, you’ll need to create a new version of your header image: edit it in an image editing application to add the blog title and tagline, upload it to your blog, then (in Appearance > Header > Display Text) select No, click Save Changes.
