How do I change the url of my .WORDPRESS.com blog?

  How do I change the url of my blog? I DO NOT want to buy or get a custom domain. I just want to change the default xxxxxxxxx.wordpress.com web address of my blog, to be more anonymous.

  Will changing my username effect this? There’s no info in help on this simple question…

  Changing your username will not effect the url for your blog.

  Here are two options:
  Option 1
  See here and read everything very carefully at least twice before doing anything > changing a blog address > http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  Option 2
  You can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
