How do I change the user name?

  I initially created the blog with the name ‘bettycricket’ with the intention to blog about cooking. How do I remove the name in the ‘about’ section?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  It’s fairly simple to change your username, though keep in mind, once you change it, neither you nor anyone else will be able to use the name “bettycricket’ ever again. This is a precaution to protect against impersonators.

  All you need to do to change your username is log into your account, <a=”https://wordpress.com/me/account”>here</>, and just change the name that’s displayed where it says “username.” It will ask you for confirmation, and give you some warnings, but continue following the steps, and you’ll have your new name in no time!

  Oh wait, I’m sorry, the about section! The display name can be changed separately from your user name.

  you can edit the way your name appears to others without having to change anything else. You can decide which option works best for you.

  Let us know if there’s some other place where the name is appearing that I’ve missed.
