How do I change the width of a block

  How do I change the width of a block. In another wordpress installation I have on another server, I was able to install the spectra plugin free version and it had a container I could put a block in that would let me adjust the width of the container and block. WordPress.com will not let me install the container without paying for a more expensive plan. How can I change the width of a block using wordpress.com?

  I have this question as well. Perhaps turning the block into a group? I wish there was a starter video that showed fundamental design tasks like changing the size of photos, blocks, adding fonts moving text blocks, navigating from Theme hierarchy to portfolio pages, a Portfolio plug-in and padding, after days, I feel totally lost still. Maybe someone can point to a thread for some onboarding here!
