How do I change what the top of the webpage reads?

I’m sure this is a simple fix, but I can’t find the answer anywhere…

How do I change the title at the top of the browser page? (this page reads: Support << WordPress.com Forums

I’d like my blog to just show my name, rather than the url address, ie: Stan Smith as opposed to <http://www.stansmith.com/wordpress/…

You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.

If you don’t understand the difference, you may find this information helpful.

Sam, I have the same question. Am very new to all this.

I have a .com page, and I believe I have done all I need to do to link this question to whatever you need to check it out.

When I open my page, it says Lifemagician’s blog.

Now I am happy to leave that as it is, but I would like one for my trip, which I would like to give a title appropriate to my trip.

Then I would like to have a new page each time I post about a place or a leg of the trip, with a list on the right side, so people who, for instance, want to read about my trip in Idaho, just click on Idaho, and those who want to read about what I did in Homer, will just click on Homer, etc.

Is this possible? Am I asking too much? And where can I find step by baby step instructions on how to set this up? Taking into consideration that when I went to school the word computer was not even in the dictionary. lol
