How do I change words on home page

    Hi:
    I can’t find a way to change teh front page of my site. I want to take off the notes from wordpress.com – Welcome to wordpress and all the advice. I don’t know how to change that. How do I get rid of that copy?

    Hi there, you can easily customize your site and change as you like.

    If you click on “My Site” scroll down on left-hand side you will find the themes, click on “Customizer” and you will be able to change the text. and background images and most of the look and feel of your site.

    Go through the links and you will be familiar with how WordPress.com works fairly easy. you can click “Here” for more detailed documents on how to customize your site

    Some of the text you’re seeing is specific to the Gateway Theme.

    You can use the above link to see some more detail about how the different parts of the theme work :)

    The Welcome To WordPress.com part, for example, is under My Site > Customize > Theme Options > Homepage Template.
