How do I choose a WordPress category for my blog (like christianity or travel)?

  How do I choose a WordPress category for my blog (like christianity or travel)?

  I noticed the WP homepage categorizes other blogs into themes like travel, photography, christianity, etc. I can’t find a place to choose one of those categories for my own blog. Any help?

  We cannot assign Categories or Tags which are treated the same way by search engines to blogs. We cannot assign them to pages. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ We can only assign them to our indivdual posts. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/
