How do I clean up my text code?

It seems I have a lot of <div> or or that are repetitive from changes I have made on my pages/posts. How do I clean this up without accidentally removing the codes I need?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no means of doing this in one fell swoop. You have to edit each individual post, use the HTML editor and remove them.

Thank you timethief. I thought I would have to do it like this. I wish there were some kind of plug in to do it for me. If there was, I might upgrade from the free WordPress Blog.

Can you suggest any tricks to make it easier?

There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on WordPress.COM blogs. And, I’m sorry but I don’t know of any shortcuts you can use. :(

    Thank you again time thief.

One more question: Is there any code I should look for specifically that can be removed without any consequences?

I guess I will have to spend a great deal of time looking for < > and the < />. I really need to be more careful. Even though I can’t write code, I can sometimes make sense of really simple code. It just bugs me when the my code is so messy! It’s impossible to learn anything about how code works.

I’m tempted to just copy my page, paste it into Word as text, Copy it from Word and Past it back into WordPress and then make all the changes. I will lose all my links though. Oh well.

If the second option is enabled, WordPress will fix any of your invalid XHTML code. Invalid XHTML code can cause problems with your layout, so this is a good option to turn on.
