How do I clear the entire contents of a self-hosted site and import new content?

    I am trying to delete the contents of my website and re-import updated posts from another WordPress site. My self-hosted site is expeditionsofelise.com and my current site is expeditionsofelise.wordpress.com. I imported in February and it didn’t quite work right, so I let it go for a few months but now I would like to try again. However when I tried to import my content I exported from expeditionsofelise.wordpress.com, I was told there was duplicate content and it wouldn’t import the new content. HELP!
