How do I close comments for individual posts?
-
I want to close comments on a specific post but keep the comments already there. How do I do this? The post I want to close is ‘Psychic Invasion: Who’s in your head?’
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Easily done. You can find instructions here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/#enabledisable-comments
Take a look through that page and let me know if you have any further questions. I’ll be happy to help.

Thanks for getting back to me. I had already followed the instructions on the link you provided…tried it again…and it didn’t work. I clicked on the title on the posts page, opened Screen options, unchecked “comments” and saved the change. I am still getting comments on this post, although the “comments” remains unchecked.

I checked the post ‘Psychic Invasion” and now it goes directly to “edit” instead of the actual post…and all of the comments have disappeared. I want to keep the comments but close the post to additional comments. If this isn’t possible, then please restore the post to its former state. Thanks.

When I go to http://ghosttalkblog.com/2013/04/16/psychic-invasion-whos-in-your-head/
I see 44 comments and a “comments are closed” message. Here is a screenshot:

Interesting…I’ve tried two different ways and I keep seeing the edit screen. I logged into my blog, did a search for ‘Psychic Invasion” and it opened the edit screen. Next I tried going to my blog through the search engine, without signing in to see what screen would show up and again, the edit screen came up.
I clicked on the link you provided and that’s what I was hoping to see. It’s a mystery to me why that screen doesn’t show up for me. As long as visitors see what you see, it’s not a problem.
Thanks Josh!
