How do I configure my website to work on PCs and tablets?

When viewing my website from some PCs, the blog column is too wide, so it overlaps into my sidebar. This is not a problem when I’m using computers with touch screen (including my laptop). Viewing it from a tablet also works well.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Your theme is responsive, so it should not do that at all. It should detect the width of the screen that is being used to view the site and present the content in the best format possible.

When you say that the content column is too wide and overlapping in to the sidebar, is this only on certain browsers? If so, could you let me know which ones so that we can look in to this further? A screen shot would also be very helpful! Here’s some information on how to take a screenshot if you’re not familiar with the process:

    Thanks in advance!

The browser I noticed it on last was IE 8. Is there a way that I may have accidentally changed a setting so that it doesn’t automatically adjust to any screen and browser? And is there a way to change it so that it will automatically modify? Thank you!

There is a setting under Appearance >> Mobile wherein you disable the responsive theme for mobile browsers and instead substitute the mobile theme (and you have have indeed disabled the responsive theme here).

However unless you somehow set IE 8 to register as mobile, I don’t think that is what was happening here. Has it happened again since that first time?

Thanks, I will change that setting! Yes, it has happened a few times on different computers. All of them were older PCs (at work and our computer at home — about 5-6 yrs. old).
