How Do I Connect a domain I bought from GoDaddy.com to my current WP website?

  Hi I purchased a domain from GoDaddy.com (DearCameron.com) And I wanted to know how I could change DearCameronOfficial.WordPress.com to DearCameron.com? I already tried the setting-> Domains but then it didn’t work. I want to be able to edit the website from WordPress. I just want the name from GoDaddy. I’m not that tech savvy, so please bear with me! Thanks for help.

  Hi Amanda. There are two main steps. First you change the nameservers at GoDaddy to point to WordPress.COM. Only then will you have the possibility to go to your WordPress.COM dashboard and purchase the domain mapping upgrade. The entire process will then take 24-72 hours to complete.
