    Hi there!

You can use a Domain Connection subscription (included with your WordPress.com plan) to connect your domain with your WordPress.com site.

If you already own a domain name with another provider, you can use that domain with your WordPress.com site. Once you complete the steps below, instead of your site address being something like yourgroovysite.wordpress.com, your site’s address will be something like yourgroovydomain.com. Follow the steps in this guide to keep your domain registered with your current provider and use it to show

I see that you’ve already added a domain connection, but the domain is not pointed to your WordPress.com site yet. You’ll need to change the domain’s nameservers on the GoDaddy dashboard so that it points to your WordPress.com site. Please check out the instructions here to do so: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/#step-2-change-your-domains-name-servers

GoDaddy also has instructions for updating the nameservers on their side: https://www.godaddy.com/help/edit-my-domain-nameservers-664

Note that if you have existing email services connected to the domain, you would want to do one of the following:

    1. To keep using the current email service, please ask your email service provider for the DNS records, and add them to the domain by following these steps. This ensures your existing email address keeps working with your current email service provider.
    2. If you’d like to start with a new email service, we offer Professional Email. You can learn more about it and purchase a license here: https://wordpress.com/en/support/add-email/adding-professional-email-to-your-site/

Please do one of the above before changing the nameservers if you have existing email services connected to your domain.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to learn more about the site you’re creating with us. Would you mind telling us more about your new site? What’s the site for, and what features do you need on the site? Based on your site requirements, we’ll be happy to share specific guides and suggestions and help you accordingly.
