How do I connect to GoDaddy?

    Hi. I’ve bought a domain name with GoDaddy. I’ve tried to get my WordPress blog onto the GoDaddy website but I’m having some trouble doing it. I contacted GoDaddy and they’ve told me I need to contact WordPress to get help with that, so here I am looking for some advice.

    Could you clarify further what are you intend to do? Do you plan to use the domain purchased on GoDaddy on the site hosted on WordPress.com?

    If yes, you can do so by mapping the domain to your WordPress.com site. In order to map your domain to the site hosted on WordPress.com, you need an upgraded plan. Each paid plans come with a free credit that allows you to register a domain or transfer/map your domain. Domain mapping no longer available for purchase as a standalone upgrade.
