How do I connect with FTP FileZilla

  I’ve just created a site and am trying to figure out how to connect to it using FTP. I’ve found many articles but all of them are out of date. How do I connect. Every time I try I receive the error “connection refused by server”. Is it possible the theme I’m using do not allow ftp connections?

  Please read this so you are aware that there is no FTP access to free hosted WordPres.com blogs and we cannot install any plugins of any third party themes. They are only for self hosted WordPress.org installs.
