I need to change my subscription and can’t seem to find any way to contact someone at WordPress.

Which subscription are you referring to please?
This is a peer support forum where Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively to deliver WordPress.com support. There is no phone support here and we Volunteers do not provide support by email.
Volunteers answer most questions posted into forum threads and Staff monitor. When Volunteers cannot provide the required support we flag threads for Staff attention. Please simply post exactly what you need help with.

We do not provide support for the site linked to your WordPress.COM username here. If you need support for that site you are posting to the wrong support forum. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

I have a son who is turning 10 tomorrow and I would like to set up a blog space for him to encourage him to write and reach out to family members. If I set up a blog under my profile, can someone else be the author on that site?
