How do I control the size of my photos in a Google image search?
-
I was looking at the results of an image search in Google, and I saw some photos from my blog (OK), but they were the size of the thumbnails in the title page of the post. Is there anything I can do so an image will appear larger, say 400 x 500 instead of 100 X 140? Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We don’t have exact control on what Google crawls and shows in their search engine results. Generally their images result page require you to click on the [View image] button in order to see the full-sized images.
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

I thought I might be able to control the size from my WP blog because all of the images I see in Google are the exact size of the thumbnails in blog. When I click on View Image in Google, I see the thumbnail in a clean browser page. Have tried to search Google for a solution, but no luck. Any way of giving the thumbnail the URL of the large image?
Thanks. -
When I searched I was able to find full sized images of your blog. Could you please send a link of the search result page where you encounter this issue? Otherwise please send us a screenshot. You can upload the screenshot to your blog’s media library.

This is the URL of the page in which a sample of my images appears by “itself.”: https://www.google.com/search?q=margilan+buildings&es_sm=122&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=k-lOUviRD8GFiALEyoGoCA&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1536&bih=863&dpr=1#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=YlkeUc05aODY0M%3A%3BruOI737Wg0zalM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fdick2138.files.wordpress.com%252F2013%252F06%252F20120930-margilan-75.jpg%253Fw%253D100%2526h%253D150%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Ffullcircleone.com%252F2013%252F06%252F08%252Fon-the-silk-road-uzbekistan-part-2%252F%3B100%3B150
This is the URL of the page in which my images appear with many others as the result of a search: https://www.google.com/search?q=margilan+buildings&es_sm=122&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=HBpoUor1G6_vigKzyYCgDQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1536&bih=863
I hope this helps. The image size in the search is 100×150. Is this indicated in the URL? Thanks for your help. -
I see. It seems Google is pulling the image thumbnails from your gallery at http://fullcircle1.wordpress.com/photos/currently-being-shown-ii/ .As mentioned before we can’t completely control what parts Google crawls but you could try to change the gallery settings to display larger images.
