How do I control what page my blog posts post to? And image trouble, & url help

  Hello, I just started, just getting acquainted with WP. I can’t figure out where my posts are showing up or how to configue that. I see them on the Reader, but I need to make a page that they default to. Also, I can change my featured image on all pages, except for my About page for some reason. It keeps defaulting to an image I’ve put on the page itself. ONE more thing…How do I change my url to the newest one I want to use? THANK YOU!
