How do I control when things go to the archive?
-
Hello – simple question I’m sure so I apologise for that. I want to have only one post – the most recent – on my front page at a time and send each previous post to the archive as soon as I have a new one. How do I control the archiving frequency? (I’m using Hemingway.)
Thanks

Please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here, or link your nickname to your blog (as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know Before Posting). Helps us help you.
Are you talking about http://farfromthetruth.wordpress.com/ ? That’s no Hemingway.

Yes, I’m still setting up. I’m using Andreas09. Thanks, trying to make as few mistakes as possible.

The Archives are created and updated immediately: they comprise links to all your posts by month. What you can do is set the number of posts per page to 1 in Settings > Reading.
(That applies to practically all themes, but not to Hemingway, which is designed to display the beginnings of your latest two posts.)

Thank you very much. That answers my question exactly and I’ll keep improving. Best wishes
