How do I convert a self hosted wp site to a wordpress.org site?

    I understand how to move and import existing self hosted site to the word press.org site, but it is necessary for me to previously create a new WordPress.org site.

    What I want to do is automatically convert the domain.com I already have set up in word press to WordPress.org.

    The reason is because when I go to create a new account, I am unable to assign the domain.com as domain.WordPress.Com.

    Is that possible? If so, how?

    Hi there, a WordPress.org site, actually refers to using the WordPress software that is downloadable and that you can install on your server or run on your local computer. A self-hosted site is a WordPress.org site. So, in other words moving a site from computer to a server still falls under the WordPress.org banner.

    You can’t Mapp, domain.wordpress.com to a self-hosted domain. But you can let your own domain redirect to your WordPress.com account.
