How do I copy my Blog and then re-format the copy?

Can I copy my existing Blog and then re-format the copy … and …if so, how is it done? Thank you

timethief … I would like to copy my existing Blog to change the theme and see if I like the change, without the possibility of losing my original theme. I am 74 yrs old and am trying my best to learn as much as I can about Blogs. Then I hope to try to make my Blog available to the General Public. – Thank you.

There is no need at all to do that.
You can quickly and easily change themes to another one found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and no data will be lost or negatively affected by the change. The only time you may have to do some work is if you are changing to a dramatically different theme and have done any CSS editing.
Provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the blog go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes and browse themes until you find one you like and click “activate” or type in the name of the theme you want to use and
click the “activate” link when it appears.After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets and re-install them where you want them to appear. The widget contents and settings will be the same as they were prior to changing themes.
P.S. You can always make a content backup and store it on your computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/#backups

There is also a Preview option for themes – click on Preview and you will see a very close example of what your blog will look like with the new theme – just follow the instructions above to fine a theme you might like then use Preview to see a sample with your existing content
