How do I copy my blog to wordpress on another domain? Export/import failed.

  I am trying to copy the contents of my wordpress.com blog to a new WordPress/ProPhoto4 blog on my own domain. I exported and downloaded the WXR file but the import failed. Error message: “The WXR file (version 1.2) may n ot be supported by this version of the importer. Please consider updating.” I just downloaded the importer today, so it shouldn’t be old. Where would I find a new importer?

  Would you be able to provide us with a link to the site you’re moving to? Do you know what version of WordPress it’s running?

  It may also be helpful for you to send us your WordPress.com export file here.

  I just downloaded wordpress to my new site last week, so I doubt that’s the one that is out of date. However, I have never actively done anything to update wordpress on my wordpress.com site. Should I do that? If so, how?

  The site I am moving to is norekefoto.com. I have just e-mailed you the export file you requested.
