how do i create a guestbook in forever theme?
i’ve created a static page and there was no guestbook template.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no guestbook template in any current WP.com theme as far as I know, because guestbooks are a little passe.
You could make one static Page marked “Guestbook” and encourage people to leave comments on it.

Just create a short page titled “Guestbook”, leave a kind remark encouraging comments and leave it at that.
It should work as well as any app or theme change.
Don’t expect too many people to sign them though, from what I hear (and know from personal experience) a lot of people ignore them.

I noticed your blog is private – in which case disregard what I’ve said, you likely have a more intimate relationship with your viewers.

A lot of people start with private blogs and then once they are satisfied with the look, open it up.

There is a guestbook template in Forever. You edit the static page and select the template from the pulldown in the Page Attributes module.
