How Do I Create a Secure Area on a WordPress Site
-
Hi, folks,
I want to move an existing web site to WordPress, but the web site needs to have a members-only partition that can handle secure log-ins. Can I do this with a WordPress site? Thanks, guys! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
The easiest way to do this would be to set a post or page to be password protected as explained here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#password-protect-a-post
This wouldn’t create individual passwords for everyone. It would set a global password for that post or page. Individuals without that password would just see a “Post Protected” message. Would that work?

That totally works! Thank you so, so much for the information and support. I love WordPress. I love all of you Happiness Engineers, and it brings me unending joy to know that I can move yet another site to your Platform and continue to kick butt. Yay! :) -Lizzy -
